Christina is a trained in treating post traumatic stress disorder using ‘Rewind’ Visual Kinaesthetic Disassociation, ‘closure without disclosure’ a technique developed by Dr Muss, retired Director of the PTSD Unit at Birmingham BMI hospital, for those living with PTSD, phobias, traumas, anxiety, depression, shock, abuse and violence. Dr Muss is Christina’s clinical supervisor. Christina has developed and adapted the techniques to make the therapy more accessible for severe and deep seated trauma and calls it “ The Bix Method”. Christina’s gentle and calming approach supports clients to feel relaxed. The Bix Method starts with a questionnaire for the client to self-score the traumatic event or events. With guided instructions, Christina sets the scene for a gentle visualisation which enables the frontal lobes of the brain to process traumatic memories from involuntarily recall to calm, voluntary recall. Most traumatic events can be treated in one session, others may take up to five sessions. Sessions can be conducted in person or online. In studies, no participants had relapses, the results are enduring. Christina’s clients have never had relapses and continue to praise the treatment. Referrals are usually via health care professionals, FHT and IARTT websites and word of mouth. Christina takes referrals from counsellors and other therapists. This treatment is not counselling or talking in depth or analysing trauma. In Christina’s words “a truly extraordinary, fast and effective therapy”. Christina is available for a clarity call to discuss if Rewind is the best treatment for you.

Christina is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and the International Association for Rewind Trauma Therapy.
